Our Training Centre is a leader in trauma-informed care, youth mental health, and community wellness.

Our workshops equip professionals, caregivers, and community members with knowledge and skills to foster healing, resilience, and relational safety.

Training offers include:

  • Indigenous Ways of Knowing: Land, Culture, and Learning – Explore Canada’s colonial history, Indigenous worldviews, and cultural safety through experiential, land-based learning.
  • Introduction to the Neurobiology of Trauma: Learn how childhood adversity shapes brain development and behaviour, and gain practical, brain-based strategies for emotional regulation.
  • Advanced Concepts in the Neurobiology of Trauma: Deepen your skills in assessing regulation needs, tailoring interventions, and supporting individuals with complex trauma.
  • Healing Systems Through Trauma-Responsive & Decolonizing Practices: Combine Indigenous knowledge and Western models to transform systems into spaces of healing and belonging.
  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST): Internationally recognized training to identify, intervene, and support individuals at risk of suicide.
  • Building Resilience: Understanding and Addressing Youth Substance Use – Practical tools and harm reduction strategies for supporting youth through prevention, intervention, and recovery.

At Prairie Tides Training Centre, we believe that strong, trauma-informed practice begins with meaningful, high-quality learning experiences. We have trained hundreds of professionals across child welfare, social services, education, and health care, equipping teams with practical skills and deeper understanding to better support the communities they serve.
